Industrial Chillers

Industrial chillers use the refrigeration cycles to cool the water, generating a consistent stream of coolant for the manufacturing and laboratory processes. The process of either vapor compression or absorption cycle is used by the chiller to cool. Industrial chillers are used by manufacturers, factories, and laboratories for the purpose of cooling the water at specific temperatures.

In general, industrial chillers are available in large collections rated from 1 to 1000 tons of cooling energy. The three classifications of industrial chillers are air, water and evaporative condensed chillers. Each of the classifications is further sub-categorized as reciprocating, centrifugal, screw-driven, and absorption chillers.

The absorption chiller is powered by a heat source used. The remaining chiller types are powered by the use of electric motors, steam and gas turbines.

The evaporator, condenser, compressor and expansion valve are the four basic components of the mechanical compression cycle through which the refrigerant passes. Evaporators are further classified into shell and tube types. The piston which is driven by the crankshaft is used in the process of the reciprocating compressor. The centrifugal compressor type achieves compression by using the centrifugal force applied to an air mass.

These compressors are developed by a few moving parts within the device. The screw compressor uses two screws that are fitted in a housing that is stationary.

A high rate of efficiency is achieved by using these industrial chillers. The optimum level of efficiency can be achieved by maintaining the steps done on regularity. Depending on the size of the chiller and the compressor, some industrial chillers are located directly beside the process. You can see many large industrial chillers located either closer from the process of cooling or even be placed entirely as an outdoor unit.

Industrial chillers are available with different capacities ranging from ? to 15 HP, and remove heat up to 50,870 watts.

They come in a price range between $5000 and $10,000 for chillers of sufficient benefit. It can also range over $15,000 for the chillers of high capacity and style..

A Real Holiday Surprise for the Kid in All of Us

New York, NY (ContentDesk) December 7, 2005 -- With the holiday season upon us and shoppers about to spend billions of dollars on gifts that are anything but a surprise for the recipient, many holiday shoppers are taking extra care in trying to find the right gift this holiday season."I'm sick of throwing away money on presents I can tell they don't like," Anita Rubio of Toms River, New Jersey explains.
Many holiday shoppers looking for the right gifts that are both useful and a surprise are echoing the sentiment.Folding bikes by manufacturers such as Brompton have long been popular in large and small cities.
A durable, high performance bike that can fold small enough to fit in an average sized backpack may sound like something out of a Star Trek episode, however, the Brompton folding bike can do exactly that.Folding bicycles are a great gift for people with limited spaces in their apartments, car trunks, boats, private airplanes or just about anywhere else they want...

KUA Adopts New Conservation Rate

8:00 pm ? At tonight's meeting of the Kissimmee Utility Authority (KUA) Board of Directors, the Board approved a new conservation incentive rate which is intended to reward those customers who practice energy conservation. The 5-0 approval vote came after a public hearing on the rate. ????The conservation rate adds financial incentive to those residential customers who use less power. Historically, KUA has charged a flat energy charge for each kilowatt-hour used by a customer, regardless of how much energy is used. Under the new rate, the energy charge will be lower ($0.06807 per kWh) if monthly consumption is less than or equal to 1,000 kWh and higher ($0.07601 per kWh) if consumption is greater than 1,000 kWh.

????For example, a customer using 900 kWh per month will realize a $5.33 or 7.4 percent savings under the new rate, while a customer using 1,100 kWh would see an increase of $2.18 or 2.5 percent. The monthly customer charge will remain the same for all residential customers....

Are you thinking of Buying a LCD TV? Then you should read this...

The LCD television is great in small placesThe LCD television will fit where larger TVs can not. The term LCD stands for Liquid Crystal Diode. If you want a flat panel TV, you can choose either a LCD TV or plasma TV. It is in the electronics that the LCD differs from the plasma TV.How does the LCD make a picture?LCD TVs are available in a few variations. The first is the conventional LCD panel, but isn't only used in televisions.

LCDs are used in many other electronic technologies like microwaves, digital clocks, calculators, and stereos. In the television, the LCD comes in the design called Twisted Nematic (TM). It is a naturally twisted crystalline structure that reacts to electric currents in predictable manners. The currents cause it to untwist to different degrees based on the voltage given. These TN crystals are stuck between panes of polarized glass and the untwisting allows different amounts of light to pass through. Most agree that if you are purchasing a flat television...

Why is a Logo so Important to Your Business?

Well, a logo for your business. Why is it important? Does it matter what it looks like? Is Yours Professional? These are some good questions to ask when you are considering to get a logo design or already have a logo for your business. See a logo speaks volume about your company, it right off the bat tells your "future possible client" if you are reliable and instils trust in them. Although how good your service is matters, how you present your company is what will win you their trust and in the end win them as a client.Even though in the end of everything, how good your service is will decide on if you are successful. The image of your company tells alot in a little way.

Your logo says to clients a few different things: 1. Are these guys professional?2. Do they seem to care about their business(which in turns means do you care about your clients)?3. Do they seem to know what they are doing?4. Does their business seem to be one I can trust to do the job right? What makes a good...

A Step-By-Step Lesson On How to Change Your Guitar Strings

Changing your guitar strings might make you feel a litte uncomfortable if you have never done it before, but it's really quite simple and should become a regular part of your guitar care routine. Before you do anything, first take time to make some personal observations such as: 1. Which way do you have to turn the tuning keys to tighten or loosen the strings?2. How are the strings aligned from the nut to the bridge?3. Which is the heaviest string (6)? Taking mental notes will probably save you some frustration and make the job much easier.

Below you will find some helpful steps to follow for changing your strings. Once you've changed your guitar strings a couple of times your confidence should begin to grow and you won't need to refer to these steps any longer. I like to remove all of the guitar strings in order to give my guitar a thorough cleaning, but you can remove and replace them one at a time if you prefer. Move Puts Kissimmee Whistle Back in Business

Kissimmee, FL (ContentDesk) February 18, 2006 -- A living piece of Kissimmee history was moved today to accommodate an expanding downtown area. The noontime whistle at Kissimmee Utility Authority's historic Roy E. Hansel Generating Station was relocated as part of the planned dismantling of the power plant that produced electricity continuously for 104 years. The diesel plant was decommissioned in September because the generators were no longer economical to operate. The historic building and adjacent property will be returned to the city of Kissimmee for future development. The brass whistle was lowered and carried 175 yards south to its new perch located atop the utility's combined cycle plant exhaust stack.Residents might notice that the length of the whistle blast has been cut in half due to the limitations of the air compressor at its new location. The whistle at the power plant has been a part of Kissimmee's history since the turn of the century when it was used for signaling and timekeeping....
